PLANET HONG KONG

This is a branded short film for which I composed several melodic themes: the Villain’s theme, and Robot’s theme. Proudly written and shot in Hong Kong, the film is an ode to vintage Hong Kong toys, and tells a story about adventure, remembrance, and the multi-generation bond between fathers and sons.

Directors: Alan Pun and Michele Galeotto

Synopsis:

For a long time, tin toys have populated the imagination of Hong Kong children. Today those children have grown up and have families of their own. Those toys have subsequently become highly sought-after collectibles. Yet, the toys’ desire to live again in the fantasy of the city’s children is still alive and well…

In this short film, the adventures of a vintage tin robot who's trying to save the world from the threat of a menacing enemy, intertwine with a father-son relationship that spans two generations.
