The Blue of Noon

This is a short experimental film that depicts a haunting, desolate landscape, through which a lone mysterious figure can sometimes be seen slowly wandering. The score I created draws influence from modern horror film scores and certain strains of contemporary avant-garde music. I aimed to heighten the insidious tension and discomfort created by the apocalyptic visuals of the film by contrasting grating, dense instrumentation with lighter moments of calmness, and creating multiple distinct passages that slowly flow into one another.
